The Partnership Agreement is a relationship between cities limited in time (maximum 3 years), in which well-defined areas of collaboration and specific projects to be realised jointly are identified.

The contents of the cooperation are specified in detail in the Agreement, which must be approved by the municipal administration by a resolution of the council.

In some cases, it is possible to establish a preliminary form of relationship through a Letter of Intent that envisages collaboration on various topics: from the economy to environmental policies and mobility, from culture and schools to scientific research and universities, from health to social services and youth policies.
