Covenant of friendship and solidarity pact

The covenant of friendship constitutes a formal act that is stipulated with certain cities or territorial realities that, due to their specific characteristics and particular ties with the Modenese community, are deemed worthy of a particular continuity of relations and that may even be transformed over time into true twinning.

The covenant of friendship active to date is the one with Edchera (El Aayun - Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic).

The solidarity pact constitutes a formal act of reciprocity with territorial realities that, due to their particular geographical, historical and political characteristics, require the institutionalisation of a permanent relationship of high value and significance, inspired by the city of Modena's support for the safeguard of their freedom and their ethnic, religious, cultural, linguistic and historical identity.

The solidarity pact active to date is the one with Jenin (Palestine).
